Beverly Burk is an accomplished attorney with an executive management background in IT, transportation and healthcare industries. She understands complex issues and effectively communicates solutions by translating them into powerful, persuasive written messages. For more than 20 years, Beverly has operated a successful law firm helping individuals with wills, trusts, and probate, and entrepreneurs with entity formation and general legal advice.  Her clients say she helps them understand laws and the legal process and always stays focused on their goals so her clients can effectively communicate their message in and out of the courtroom.  Beverly attributes the growth of her practice to referrals from colleagues and clients.

 

Previously, Beverly cross-trained in several Vice President roles with AMR Corporation’s Data Management Services where she directed teams of customer service and technology professionals in data centers in the U.S. and the Caribbean. In these roles, she negotiated, drafted and administered computer hardware and software and services contracts, implemented the first express document clearance process in San Juan, Puerto Rico through negotiations with air cargo suppliers and U.S. Customs. She also led the installation of the first on-line health insurance date entry application in Bridgetown, Barbados. She was named Most Valuable Employee of the Year in 1998. Beverly began her career as a systems engineer at Motorola.

 

Beverly is a passionate community volunteer who offered her legal services to the City of Irving Teen Court where she received the adult volunteer Red Apple Award.  Her pro bono work earned the Legal Aid of Northwest Texas 2006 Volunteer Attorney of the Year award. She has held numerous leadership positions with Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity and Texas Wesleyan University.  Beverly is the founding chairman of the Law Practice Management Section of the Collin County Bar Association. She holds a JD from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Missouri.
